Drone-flier arrest

Drones are becoming a real menace in our technological society, and we have very little power with regards to controlling this issue. Nigel Wilson was today arrested for flying drones over landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Shard. He was fined £1,800 for a total of nine offences and is prevented from buying drones or encouraging anybody else to do so. There are various laws in place which prohibit drone fliers from flying their drones within 150 metres of congested areas, unless they have obtained a permit from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA.) Wilson breached these laws, with a judge branding his actions as "the height of arrogance in terms of public safety.”
